Amazingly clean cuts

I bought this blade to cut exotic woods for gluing cutting boards and sausage boards. It is razor sharp, leaving perfectly smooth edges. It is very quiet when cutting even the hardest wood. I was able to go straight from the table saw to gluing because the edges were absolutely perfect. I've been waiting and hesitating to buy this blade as I'm using a quality blade and don't think it would make much of a difference. If you're on the fence, BUY IT! You will not regret it. I have not received any

Even in the hands of a layman like me.

. this blade is amazing. The exact product discussed here is the Freud 10 x 30T Glue Line Ripper (LM74R010). see the result of the cut in photo 3. Shot outdoors, close-up, the wood grain and the path of the saw are visible (ignore the shadow, there is no bend at the edge). Almost imperceptible traces of the cut, no arson. The sawdust is almost as fine as baby powder. The cut is so clean that the edges feel sharp. And we did it on a small table! Joints and cleaning are no longer necessary. The…

Do not cut on glue line, less than 1/8 inch

This blade is heavy and appears to be of good quality. I am usually very satisfied with Freud products. The finish on the rip cuts leaves swirls of leaves and I get the same or better cut with my general purpose blade (Ridge Carbide). The saw is well adjusted. I ended up ripping the edges anyway and then planed or joined. There's no reason to have a glue line cutter if you still need to take the extra steps. I didn't know the kerf was less than .125 when I bought it, which prevents me from…

Industrial Glue Line Break Blade = Amazing in Hardwood

I've used this blade on 2 different saws for about 2 months, I've used it to cut hard walnut, maple, cherry, purple heart and my finger (almost cut off fingers, but that's another story). The first saw I used it on was a Ridgid R4513 jig saw. I used it to replace a Hitachi brand saw blade with the same number of teeth. I immediately noticed how much cleaner the cuts were, there was no burning on the 1 inch thick hardwood, unlike my old blade. The cuts were very clean and felt like cutting…

Poor cutting quality. No customer service.

I have been using Freud blades as a hobbyist for 20 years and now have 2 ripping blades, 1 cross cut blade, 1 fusion blade and 1 combi blade. (I also have several other brands, these are just my Freud blades). I bought this blade in May 2017 and it gives me a terrible cut. It tears easily, does not burn, is quiet, but even with a zero-gap insert, there is severe crosshatching, ripples and cracks on the cut edge. Small update: I tried a slow feed, checked the saw adjustment, adjusted the springs

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • unreliable

Much better than my other, fine kerf, ripper blade

I have a kerf, so cleaning up after a rough rip isn't a big deal. But with my other thin kerf, the 24-tooth Freud, I still had to plan ahead. That means I had to cut out larger pieces so I could join both sides, even though the gap was pretty clean. The biggest problem was that a fine-blanketed blade couldn't cut boards that weren't "perfectly" flat. When I bought hardwood, I had to saw it immediately. If the board had the ability to twist, breaking it, especially relatively thin strips, was…
