This is a defective product. After installation, I noticed white streaks between the glass panes. The lines were visible when there were light reflections on the screen. The bad thing is that this wasn't noticed until the screen was installed; Of course it broke when you pulled it off. I marked them in one of the pictures. I used this to replace a cracked screen on a 2011 15" MacBook Pro. It works as intended and saved me money on a screen replacement. I just heated up a cracked screen bezel on a MacBook, removed the old screen and replaced it with this one, it worked.

Good workmanship, exact replacement for the original. Easy to install, remember you only get one chance to align and install it correctly. Be sure to thoroughly clean the LCD screen from dust, lint, fingerprints, etc. Alcohol wipes are best for electronics.

Much more difficult than expected. However, this did not go beyond the average ability of a home champion. The adhesive strips used are no joke and will not go down without a fight. But once the entire cracked screen is removed and the rest cleaned/prepared, the new screen works smoothly and hassle-free. This project learned a few lessons, but I would happily do it again.

Really Happy DIY Project! I used a hair dryer to gently soften the original screen and it came off without too much trouble, mine was already broken leaving a few small bits of glass floating around (make sure you have a clean area to work and maybe lay a disposable towel as a work surface).
