Difficult to install. The best in hardware

Installing on a fiberglass exterior is a little tricky if you want a correct installation. And you should use some transparent waterproof sealant (roof or window) when installing outside. When heavy rain pours on the door, water tends to run into the product, and when the door is opened, water flows onto the floor from below. The rubber seal on the bottom broke after a few weeks and became unusable!

  • The best in its niche

Ridiculous deformation

I think I have a lemon! The vinyl seal is so badly deformed that it is unusable. The aluminum frame is ok. I read the reviews before buying and I couldn't find anyone with this problem. I think HD offers interchangeable printing for less than $3. Another problem with this vinyl design is that it doesn't handle extreme temperatures well. I had to assume it wasn't processed properly before it cooled. Says little about Mfg's quality control. This was clearly visible on the packaging and needed to…

Measure, cut, fasten. This is a solid purchase.

This is a durable product that requires a hacksaw or circular saw to adjust. There are many different opinions about door bottoms, but basically I wanted them to help close the gap between the door frame and the sill. Some reviewers told me to remove the door from the hinges first (can't do it for me), so I pressed it against the bottom of the door and used a marker to mark the portion that was hanging over the door to be cut off. I couldn't close the door because the rubber base you add…

Check the door gap

Be sure to measure the gap from the bottom of the door to the top of the adjustable sill before purchasing. You need at least ½ inch of space and an extra adjustment (below) the sill. For a perfect fit, measure the width of the door below; Cut the hat to this size. Then measure the width of the door jamb and cut the drip flange to that size. Cut the bottom seal to full length and slide in. Attach the cap to the bottom of the door and set the threshold. The two things I didn't like were the…

Great value

Worth the price. I usually take my time and research most of my purchases when I shop at Revain. Under $10 is the best price I could find. Most prices are between $13 and $16 for the same brand. The two I bought work great on the garage driveway and front door. Trimming is done with a hacksaw or other device capable of cutting aluminum, which is very easy to trim. I've seen a few complaints about the rubber grommet slipping out when the door is opened and closed. They said it's useless because…
