No need to call a handyman!

water freezer works like a charm. Follow package directions and make sure you use hot water. We had a solid ice plug that lasted about 6 uses. The freezer was making ice within an hour. Inexpensive, easy repair without calling a handyman. Made in the USA!

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • boring packaging

It worked! - Freezers

Plumber Ed Wright came to see us several times because the line had frozen. He told us about the tool and told Allan he could use it himself. In a short time he cleared the line and after a month it's still working! Saved us a lot of money! One of the few handymen who will call you back and come to your house when they say they are coming!

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Available in white only

Does what it should.

I have a GE Side by Side and the water dispenser freezes intermittently. I saw a similar product in a repair video. You draw hot water into a syringe and run the hose as high as you can. Make sure you have something under the dispenser to catch the water. Three times seems to be a magic number. I recommend it. I don't see what could work better.

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • Clarity

He did what I needed.

I used microwave warm water from the sink. The water hose fits perfectly into the dispenser hose. It's been a few years since we've used the dispenser so it's been quite difficult. It took 7 uses of a water tool to thaw it. Very happy with the tool. The only downside was that you need towels to catch or soak up the water coming back before it thaws.

Pros
  • New to my collection

The best tool ever and so easy to use.

When my dispenser's water line froze, it took me 40 minutes to thaw it with a hair dryer. I couldn't believe how amazing this frozen tap water tool is. All I would have to do is heat a cup of water for a minute and a half, draw the water through a syringe and pour it into the water dispenser tube, and it takes less than five minutes to thaw the line. The best tool ever.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Worked great for defrosting the water dispenser in my fridge

No idea why it started freezing after all these years but it did. Cut a small piece of grass trimmer line and slide it up the line to make it feel like it's really frozen. Then used with some hot water and instantly cleared the clog. Had to use a few times and it works like a charm. Just put a small rag under the dispenser, draw hot water from the kettle, spray, press the water dispenser to see if the water flows. repeat if necessary. fast and easy.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good

Worked great! - Freezers

This is a simple product that works incredibly well. My lines were frozen and the mechanic suggested turning off the fridge and letting it thaw, which would have been a huge mess if I had packed everything in the fridge and thrown away groceries. I found this product in a YouTube video and it arrived in a day. Really simple design but perfect. You fill the syringe with hot water, insert the tubing into the nozzle until you feel resistance, and then push it out. I had to fill and spray 4-5 times

Pros
  • Positive Only
Cons
  • Suitable

It works out! - Freezers

Our fridge lines froze because we didn't realize we had to use them every day. We didn't always do that, so one day he just stopped supplying water and making ice. We watched several videos on how to fix the problem and they all recommended this product so we ordered it. I mean, actually, we could probably find a syringe and tubing and make them ourselves, but it would probably be cheaper (and easier) to just order them. Received and tried within a few days. A few minutes later it worked again.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Almost never
