FSJEE 2Pin 8MM LED Connector Kit - Includes 32.8ft Extension Cable, 8mm DC Adapter Cable, and Gapless Connectors for 3528/2835 LED Strip Review

Bought to try to complete the parts that came with light strips. They're the right size and should work, but I haven't been able to find a way to make a decent connection with the supplied terminals and/or wires. Complete waste. For the most part I was able to make decent connections to the originals, but not to this one.

Fine wire, tiny LED connection points. I wouldn't waste time soldering. I used them to connect LED strips for under/upper cabinet lighting. I used crimp connections to connect the loose ends of the wires as needed. Once you insert the LED strip, you can easily remove it and then insert it again.

This kit does not include the connectors required for the bare red and black wires. This renders the supplied cables and plug adapters completely useless. The only thing that the included connectors can be attached to are the two parts of the light strip. The 1st photo shows the pre-assembled jumper assembled with the correct connector and next to it are the strip to strip connectors that are included. The red/black wires included in this set will not work with the plugs included in this set…

This kit is for installing a LED strip with all the connections. I thought solderless clips were mandatory but it turned out to be a big mistake. They really don't work well, they fit over the LED, and trying to close these things is awful. Be sure to use soldering! DC plugs work fine but they don't fit well (looks a bit to me) The wires supplied are very flimsy but have worked well so far. If you can solder I would definitely try going with another kit.

I purchased this based on the kit contents and reviews. I have to say this set was perfect. The right plugs, the right adapters and lots of cables. Everything is of good quality, no problems with the connectors except a little effort to disconnect them. After the strips were inserted and the top of the connector closed, that strip went nowhere. I had some work to do to route the light from the top shelves to the cabinets and then back again, but I was able to route the cable into the cabinets -

I use these when retrofitting 18" fluorescent lights in our RV. I don't use waterproof LED coils so I can't speak to the waterproof rating required. There is no self-adhesive backing on the cables (there is on the LED strips and it works fine). Therefore, it is also impractical to evaluate it by adhesion. This kit was purchased to help with the cutting/splicing of LED strips. None of the connections worked as described due to poor connector manufacturing. With the 8mm strips I couldn't line up the contact points with the strips and even with manual adjustment they didn't make contact. Although this seems to solve the problem of extending if you want your light to go from point A to point B with the same power supply, I think it's too big a problem. I used an extension cord from that kit and that was it. Plastic connectors are a frustrating problem and I don't have time for that. Just opening a small plastic box will drive you crazy.
