THIS WILL NOT WORK ON HIGH SIERRA

I spent nearly $200 on this scanner and never got around to hooking it up to my computer to scan the documents I need to scan. I live with two IT professionals and they couldn't install the drivers; The scanner didn't even recognize when it was plugged in, the drivers didn't work. DO NOT BUY THIS SCANNER IF YOU HAVE A MAC WITH THE LATEST OS, THEY ARE UNIQUELY BUILT FOR WINDOWS COMPUTERS. The online help documents are confusing and customer support is non-existent. I'm angry I bought this waste…

At this point, the scan went very smoothly.

We have just scanned over 7000 photos of ourselves and photos inherited from previous generations. The photographs weighed approximately 70#. Although the scanner came with what appeared to be stuck pixels, a few cleanings finally fixed those. At this point, the scan went very smoothly. Only occasionally did we have to clean the scanner. We used the recommended "Standard" scan profile with medium JPEG compression "3". There was hardly any noticeable degradation of the picture. By barely I mean…

I got robbed: Scanner

I bought this "newer" ScanSnap iX100 on a Sunday for $223. On Thursday of the same week, the scanner sold for $189. I chose this "newer" model because it should have come with much better software. It's not like this. It uses the same "Scansoft Home" software as the cheaper models. It is advertised to work on Mac. It's not like this. I have two MacBook Pros - one with Catalina OS, the other with the latest generation of Mojave. Scansoft Home software has not been installed on any computer. The…

Just what I needed for customer calls

I work in a business that requires a lot of paperwork. I also deal with older people who don't necessarily drive or scan. To speed up the processes, I often go to their homes to get documents. I used to pick them up from a client, take them back to the office, scan them and then bring them back to return the documents. This scanner allows me to wirelessly scan any document to my phone and email it to myself instantly, which means two trips become one trip. It's worth every penny I paid for this

Great standalone scanner! Bad battery life!

Fujitsu's image quality is one of the best from the fi series to the ScanSnap. ix100 is no exception. I've worked in the document imaging industry for most of my career, but I've never found a simple yet inexpensive solution that works for me personally. I bought the ix100 to organize my family's receipts and documents. I wanted something very simple so as not to discourage anyone from using it. With the ScanSnap Cloud App, the ix100 becomes a standalone WiFi-enabled device. Aside from the…

Pros
  • Fast battery life - scan a full color A4 document at 300dpi in just 5.2 seconds

Best-in-class wireless all-in-one mobile scanner

I have a Fujitsu ix500 scanner that works with my desktop computer home, this is the best scanner I have ever used. However, I needed a portable scanner that I could use with my laptop while working out of state. I didn't hesitate to order this Fujitsu ScanSnap ix100 Wireless Mobile Scanner for this purpose. The scanner comes in a secure package and includes installation software and a USB cable. The scanner is surprisingly small and is powered by a lithium-ion battery that charges via USB. A…

ScanSnap iX100 Wi-Fi enabled portable scanner

A few years ago I got myself a desktop -ScanSnap got S1500 to work with and was impressed with its speed and versatility. You no longer have to go to a large workgroup's copier/scanner/printer to capture documents. You no longer have to be constrained by the "black and white only" limitation on our team's devices that made capturing color images difficult. I was so impressed with the software and the device itself that I bought its younger brother ScanSnap S1100 for home use. After three years…
