Japanese quality makes me sleep well!

I suffer from severe back pain due to the usual fluffy mattress on my bed. I tried this product directly on a Japanese style carpet and found that the pain went away! This may be because I am originally Japanese and living in the US, but you may not feel any strain on your body if you turn on it while sleeping as it is firm to support your body while doing so. A fluffy mattress requires more body movement to change sleeping position and leads to what is known as back pain. There are similar…

Definitely air it out

This is my second bed. I bought the first one a few years ago to put in my van. They are very clear with you when they tell you to air this bed but I was careless with it and it got really badly moldy and I couldn't get the stains out. I threw it away. I just bought another one about 3 months ago and I love it so much. I use a buckwheat hull pillow and honestly this is the best sleep ever. I have spinal issues and the best sleep for me is on firm ground with enough pillows to protect my bones…

Feels more like a foam mattress than a traditional futon

I've lived in the Far East for many years and slept on beds made to look like smooth wooden tabletops, as well as tatami mats. I recently slept on a pile of blankets laid out on a tatami mat on a steel bed frame. It's a bit sloppy, hard to air out and can bunch up so thought I'd try one of those double futons along with a cover from the same company. They are well made and look beautiful. I was surprised how similar it is to a foam mattress. There is more buoyancy here compared to a stack of…

It's everything I hoped it would be

A little background: I must have been on the floor a lot as a kid. When I was told in middle school to pick my own mattress, thinking the softer the better, I bought a mattress topper and immediately regretted it. At some point I found out that I like very hard mattresses. Now that I'm older and fuller, soft mattresses are killing my back. When I lived in Japan, I loved sleeping on a futon. My daughter didn't have a bed for about 2 years, she used a futon instead. While reading the book, I…

High quality authentic Japanese shiki futon XL size double mattress

This is a very attractive, comfortable traditional Japanese style shiki futon made in Japan. Outer fabric 100% cotton, inner lining polyester. I have size XL twin. It measures 3" thick, 39" (3'3") wide and 83" (6'11") long. This futon is shipped compressed and vacuum packed. Upon opening the plastic bag, the futon slides out and takes a lot quickly returns to its original size. When I first unpacked this mattress, I did not notice any chemical odor. To roll up and store this mattress when not…
