Description of ๐Ÿ”ช Fulton Taper Cutting Jig - Table Saw Accessory for Precise Tapered Angles up to 15 Degrees. 24" Long Aluminum Rails feat. Scale and Stop

Table saws are designed to rip stock parallel to the fence or cross-cut stock at various angles with a miter gauge. Making long rip cuts at angles from 1 deg to 15 degrees on a table saw without a jig can be challenging and dangerous attempting free hand. The Fulton Taper Cutting Jig has been designed to make long rip cuts at angles from 1 deg to 15 degrees using your table saw. Perfect for building woodworking projects like table legs, chair legs, magazine racks and more where slight tapers are common. Our taper jig will most certainly enhance your woodworking abilities and your woodworking projects. This easy to use jig is fully adjustable for right or left hand use. As well as its ability to work on either the left or right side of your table saw fence. Two ways to set the jig. First use the scale that has markings up to 15 degrees of taper. Second mark the starting cut at one end and then mark the exit cut at the other end of your piece of stock. Then simply adjust the taper jig to match those two marks. Constructed of durable aluminum the Fulton Taper Cutting Jig comes with an easy grip handle, adjustable 24 inch rails with fixed stop, easy-to-read graduated scale that measures 0 to 15 degrees of taper (or 3 inches per foot) and full instruction sheet.

Excellent product: power tool and hand tool

After assembling, I used it immediately. The instructions were easy, as was the installation. The meter worked perfectly the first time. I narrowed 8 table legs with no problem. This meter was exactly what I needed. I just wish it was longer. Definitely recommend it to everyone.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • High price

Not suitable for small parts

The seller didn't mention that this tool is not suitable for kindling. I don't even know if it works on large chunks. I ordered it to be used on kitchen renovation fillers but I am unable to use it. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until the return window appeared. The seeker must be clear in their description.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Doesn't hold the angle to cut the cone

Only used this cone for half a dozen cuts about a year ago. Pulled out to use again and the wing nut that fixes the dpwm angle won't stay tight. As you push the wood through the saw, the cone angle collapses because the wing nut isn't held tight. The result is product loss. Now I'm considering buying a higher quality device.

Pros
  • Handy thing

  • There are cons

Inexpensive, good for power tool parts and accessories

This cone works very well for the price. Good for occasional use. Advantages: inexpensive. Works as expected, narrows to 15 degrees. Cons: It would be nice if it was about 6 inches longer. The mechanism that holds the cone is weak and may bend or move when cutting double-thick material. It's not a big deal considering the $150 Rocklers cone. So unless you need it for heavy use I would recommend it.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Great, simple saw.

My rating is so high not because of the complexity of this sled but for its simplicity and the function it performs. As long as the material you are shaping doesn't exceed the length of the carriage, this is the only type of device that will do the job. Very easy to set up, although it takes an extra 3 minutes to switch between left and right cuts. Easy-to-follow instructions and no-fuss design with materials that stand up to prolonged use in the home.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Good but not great

CAREFUL! Not for small tapers

After having difficulty making small bevel cuts, I contacted customer service and was told that they acknowledge they have design issues with small cuts. The screws don't hold. I was told that they are developing a new version. For me to poke holes and try to make it work! Strange! At the same time, all of us who bought this item are stuck with a useless piece of equipment unless you cut at a high angle. Definitely need a better description of the item! Just say it's not meant for small cutsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Easily repairable
