Good price easy to use spray bottle

It was thick as expected and held up well. Dries and looks just as good as other tung oil based products I've used in the past.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • No insurance

Holds what it says in the housewares department

Bought to seal thick-handled homemade cedar cane. After three coats and three days of drying, it's not even slightly oily, and the cedar keeps its color and rains down.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Expensive

Not effective as a tongue oil - you have been warned!

LoL - I hope you like my title. Yes, please don't use it in your language! The first project with it was making Danish oil with my own hands to finish these oak handles I made for a metal fire pit restoration (see photo). 1/3 tung oil, 1/3 unscented mineral spirits, and 1/3 urethane seaspar. Drying time for this mix on red oak was several days in the cool, damp weather we had, but cured well. I think this is a great product.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Neutral

Real tung oil, no fake

I've used it on a few projects and I'm always happy with how good it is. Just make sure you do a few touch ups every week or month after that to ensure it maintains water resistance when you put water on it (knife or plate). It's not the product's fault but I forgot to retouch and there was a small stain on my magnetic wood block. I like the smell but I can see it bothers some people. The smell is real, I like it.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No paint required
