This works fine, but be aware that once you use the crayon repair part, you won't be able to darken or use a marker afterwards. In fact, I wouldn't even bother with colored pencils. I've recently moved and didn't want to spend morning money on new cabinets and this product has really come in handy. See my before and after photos. Tips: 1) Don't let the color of the marker caps guide you. They do not match the actual color of the ink. Try 2 or 3 different shades and see which one comes closest to the color of your furniture. This is before and after. I'm happy with the result, but it's not the easiest process. I used a dark brown marker and I swear the marker dries INSTANTLY. My trick is to hold a paper towel already soaked in alcohol next to me, draw a line across the scratch with a marker, and then very quickly wipe the excess off the floor with the alcohol paper towel.
