Description of Gamewright'S Hit List: Fast-Paced Fun With One Clue And Six Possible Answers

Correctly shout out as many answers that match your category list before the timer runs out. The more items your team correctly names, the more scoring tokens you earn. That team has a player (“the reader”) draw a card from the deck (without showing it to anyone else). The other team flips the sand-timer and the reader announces the category at the top of the card. The reader’s teammates start shouting out answers to match the category. For each one they name that’s on the list the reader announces, “Hit! ” and reveals a scoring token (or two tokens if the pink item is guessed). Turn Ends: When the sand timer runs out, or all 6 items on the list have been correctly guessed. Jot down the sum of the points on the tokens that were flipped over. If any items remain on the list, the other team gets one chance to guess a remaining item on the card (and collect a scoring token if they guess correctly). Game Ends: Once each player has been the reader twice. Total up the score. Most points wins.

Love it but we tweaked it

Bought this along with Gamewrights "Secret Squad”. Honestly thought we’d like this one more but it has one drawback: the reader must listen to multiple people yelling out answers at the same time and try to keep track of the answers that have/haven’t been given. The game comes with a 30 second timer so people have to hurry to answer. It can get very confusing and hard to hear answers. My suggestion is to tweak the gameplay slightly. Instead of using the timer and everyone yelling their answers…

Pros
  • Super fun!
Cons
  • Limited Educational Value: While Hit List can be a fun way to pass the time, it doesn't offer much in the way of educational or intellectual stimulation.

Good family game! for my opinion

This game is fun for small and large groups. Some questions are harder for the younger players but overall a lot of fun! Limited Strategy.

Pros
  • Bought as a gift for a friend
Cons
  • Limited Strategy

This game is great for everyone

A fast-paced game of guessing items/places/people with the clue given. You earn points by guessing the 6 answers on the card. It actually increases your thought-processing time. Play it with all ages.

Pros
  • Fun to play
Cons
  • Once you've played Hit List a few times, the questions and answers become repetitive, making subsequent playthroughs less engaging
