GREAT DEAL on Sport and Pocket GPS Navigators

It's just that most stores only sell the remote for $600 plus another $300 for collars. Everything arrived very quickly in great condition.

The battery is empty after a single use for several hours; The resistive touchscreen is very fiddly

The only reason I give this 2 stars instead of 1 is that it does what it's supposed to do when it works. Months and now the lithium battery only lasts a few hours and doesn't hold a charge - too bad when you're out in the woods and want to know where your dog is! The resistive touchscreen leads to my second complaint about the Garmin Alpha 100. In particular, anything that touches the screen - something in your backpack or pocket, your jacket sleeve, a branch or trigger, etc. - can throw the…

Almost five stars - see review for details

I use this Astro 430 wearable and a smaller GPS collar to track my dog while hiking. This product is ridiculously expensive, but I needed Garmin's reputation for reliability, accuracy, and return/repairability. Surprisingly, there are two ways to see my dog's location (topographic map and compass with footage). Minor issues: Garmin didn't perfect the device to fit the collar so they send those harsh (hair pulling) electrical zip ties/cables that don't work - I used a good quality cable instead.
