Great mod for my Garmin 910XT

I first heard about this from a person who swam the lane next to me at the local pool. I was about to buy another Garmin unit for my bike and was so excited when I knew I could get this kit. I used to wear a Garmin on my wrist while cycling, but really wish they had one installed (I also ordered a cadence kit). I read all the reviews and many said this kit would not protect my Garmin for open water swimming - I was nervous but ordered it anyway. I haven't had any issues at all - I think the…

Skip if you already have a front bike mount

I use the Edge800 on my bike with the "out front" bike mount I bought from k-edge (similar to Garmin and others). The 910XT quick release kit has a bracket that is 90 degrees offset from the Edge 800. So when I try to transfer the 910XT to my current mount, the screen is on its side in the locked state. And of course it's useless during a race. I think I could use the rubber band bike mounts that came with it, but I don't trust them to be reliable. And after reading someone else's experience of

Better than I expected

It was very easy to set up. There are long screws on each side of the strap that you remove with the screwdrivers provided, and after removing the strap you screw the bracket in place with the same screws. This allows you to quickly switch to a band or bike mount. It seems durable. The bike mount is also easy to set up and actually mounts to aero bars easier than what I previously did with the bike computer app and then Garmin's bike mount. This is much lighter than the previous design. I'm…

Ideal for training and long courses, but not for shorter courses.

This device has been very useful for me, especially for training. Only masonry and bicycle work provide good benefits from this item. It is very nice to turn on the computer after swimming, take it off your wrist and put it in the bike. Also the bike part itself is worth it as I don't know if there is another mounting option that doesn't require a wrist strap. Work in Swim Working alone and running alone or swimming in combination with running do not require this element. Even so, I keep Quick…
