Usually works well and is of high quality. The only complaint is that when using Garmin Pilot on an iPad, it can take about a minute for all queued weather forecasts to appear if the app was in the background or the screen went to sleep. This is probably a limitation of the app or the iPad compared to the device itself. Otherwise, it gets excellent reception without an external antenna and makes a solid impression.

The device was plugged in to immediately power the new device. The lights blink and the device is dead. The power button does nothing. Can connect to computer by holding power button and going into update mode with two flashing amber lights, but webupdater can't find any updates (although it detects the device). After disconnecting from the PC, it still won't turn on. Return for replacement. Hope the next one works. waste of time.

The product was received in like-new condition. Turned it on and everything worked fine. I had to connect Bluetooth (which worked just as easily as described). Once Bluetooth connected, it prompted me to download the latest firmware, which I did. Subscribed to Sirius XM flight weather. Now everything is working as described and honestly if it keeps up like this it's pretty easy to get started.
