Saves money! Prevent theft!

My son has an old Jeep Cherokee that we have to park off the road. Things have been going really bad lately and some of his gas has been drained from his gas tank. I bought it to prevent reoccurrence. Works well. I am very happy.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Will do

It works but could be better

Most gas cap locks do not require a key to lock, you just push on it until it clicks. You must physically block these after putting the cover on. I wish I knew this and it has a small reversible key and I'm pretty sure I can't make additions.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Only available in black

NON-LOCKABLE - gas cap

The lock must be broken! It won't close no matter how hard I try to latch the lid, it still unscrews. Don't waste your money on this. TO UPDATE. After many tries, I was finally able to figure out the trick. Screw it in, then hold it with both hands and try to fix it. Will keep it for a while.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Weight

My Jeep hates it for some reason

When I put it on my Jeep Wrangler it didn't seal well apparently because I had my check engine light on but unfortunately it has to stay there for now because someone stole it my non-closing cap. I'll try closing it better and see if that solves the problem. If this happens I will raise the stars again, I mean my wife has the same cover on her truck and has no problem at all.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Not what it should be but works well

They don't work as they should. It says you don't need a key to lock it. Well I have 2 and it's not close. The first was not smooth or easy and did not close automatically when closed, the second was smooth but did not close automatically. Revain, China, and who's scoring now? I have a question? Why China not = quality? It could

Pros
  • 2 keys included
Cons
  • Some flaws

Get another brand! fits gas cap

Used on 1999 Dodge. Don't bother. You need to use the key to lock it and make sure it is screwed all the way onto the gas filler neck. You can attach it without a key, but sealing the tank won't do the trick. If you have a petrol engine, it will likely set the evaporator code. My truck is diesel so that's not a problem for me. I also have a gas cap with a lock and it works much better. Closes without a key and screws tight. This also works with our toy truck so you know where it went. This cap…

Pros
  • Locking mechanism to prevent fuel theft and vandalism
Cons
  • Some minor items

I didn't want to buy a locking cap because it's just another key.

About 30 years later, the lid on my '90 Chevy K2500 pickup truck fell apart in my hands and it was time to replace it. Having another key on the ring and worrying about it not opening when needed has always been a reason not to buy one of these caps. This one seems well made, it just works and the instructions are actually printed on the lid. A quarter turn back the latch is released and the cap is unscrewed and you don't have to do anything else because when you screw it back on it locks…

Pros
  • Lock opens 1/4 turn
Cons
  • Requires electrical outlet

Mine was broken and expired so I need to get a new one and not pay again

When I received this the lock seemed fine but you have to turn the key on the lid up, otherwise everything spins. I've only had it for about a month and a half when I needed gas and it wouldn't open at all. I ended up having to rip it off, and it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it would be. I was very upset but just put my old one on because it was too late to return it. Now I'm in trouble again with people stealing my gas so I have to buy a new one. For the price it will still put

Pros
  • The seals are fuel resistant rubber
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
