Didn't close at all

Ordered for my Tundra 06. It didn't close like a normal gas cap. It turned and didn't "click". When the lock was on when it was unlocked there was no difference. It came out right away. Returned. Not recommended.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Expensive

YOU DON'T NEED A KEY TO LOCK, JUST TO UNLOCK

It took a few minutes to figure out how the locking mechanism works, not like a normal deadbolt where you need a key to lock and then pull after the key is locked, you can simply unscrew it like a normal gas cap and then open it with the key only at a gas station

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

It's not safe anymore as they used to be made

I ordered them around 2016 and 2017 for my Camry and F150 The locking mechanism isn't that good anymore. I don't know if the manufacturer has changed suppliers over the years, but it's just gotten awful

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works, but still has problems. Check engine code

. I've tried several aftermarket covers and they all show the engine code on my 2005 TRD Sport Tacoma 4x4. I wanted one that would lock and was hoping I'd get the added bonus of one that would actually solve the check engine code problem. There is no such happiness. My cap works and locks up normally, but after resetting the error, the cap still gives an error code. Spring.

Pros
  • . Sleek design
Cons
  • . High price

3 of them. in spare parts

1 for the car project (metal cover) works fantastic! 2 others? Heck, they're just for the beauty! The whole time I was like, oh my gas is safe from broke people stealing gas! nope My 4 year old took them off by simply unscrewing them! We washed the trucks and he cleaned the fuel filler flap. He brought her to me! I feel like I bought snake oil. So yes, shame on me. Yes, I am old enough to use them, as are the adults who operate my rides. All this time they never worked.

Pros
  • absolute legend
Cons
  • functionality

Locked up! on caps

approx I have to say I was a little pissed when I put this locking gas cap on my "new" (to me) 2006 regular cab Toyota Tacoma because a reviewer said the key didn't fit and he had to break off his tank. So I wanted to check the key first and then forget. THE CONFIRMATION THE VERIFICATION! but wow. the key fits (and worked to open the lid). The lid is very tight, so you have to press hard when screwing it on and off. It might get easier over time, but even if it doesn't, that's okay. Make sure…

Pros
  • new
Cons
  • slightly chipped
