Water Pump in Engine Cooling System and Air Conditioning

Don't worry. Go to the parts store and buy the part you need. But the pump was ok. Wrong hub pressed. My pulley and fan don't match. Now I have a useless paperweight

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Seniors

Like a winner.

So far so good. Stood exactly in the place of the old one. Seems solid. Can't complain, especially as it was about half the retail price.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Ideal for engine cooling and air conditioning

I was skeptical at first when I decided to buy a water pump. I'm telling you, I'm glad I did! It fits perfectly on my 1994 Ford F150 v6. I would pay an arm and a leg for a lower quality pump at local major department stores.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Approx.

Doesn't fit 4.9L Inline 6 F150

Said it would fit my 93 F150 4.9L although the bolt pattern is the same. The 4 original screws were not long enough to attach it to the block. In addition, the original fan clutch did not step on it either. Looked like good quality. Too bad it didn't work for my app

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Quality part at a great price

Water pump for my '93 F150. I took that risk. I don't know what I was expecting but when it arrived I was surprised at the quality, it seemed as good or better than the OEM pump I removed. Perfect fit, easy installation. I'm willing to pay $100 to see the complexity and quality of this piece. economy, got it. Works great, the temperature needle hardly moves (maybe it's broken too?). Highly recommend if you need it.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • Good but not great

direct bolted on replacement parts

I bought this pump for my 96 F 150 4.9 6 cylinder. It was $10-20 less than the local parts stores and I took my time. The pump bolted onto my block with no issues (I was concerned as some reviews say the casting is thicker than OEM pumps). The only problem I had was that the heater hose pipe was not bent back enough to install the thermostat housing. I gently bent the tube to snap the thermostat housing into place. Poor hose alignment was the only reason I didn't give the pump 5 stars.

Pros
  • best
Cons
  • low repairability

Qualitative, inexpensive.

Bought for my 1994 F-150 which has a 300ci/4.9L straight-six. Quality casting, bearings feel great and are factory fitted. My fan clutch was regularly tightened (right tight, left loose) and matched this pump perfectly. You'll probably need a special tool to lock the water pump pulley, without which I couldn't get the fan clutch off, although others on the internet said they had no problems. I used a large crescent for the clutch nut but I think it's 38mm or the standard equivalent. Once I had…
