Fantastic USB Card Reader!

After trying this USB card reader, I can say that I am very happy with this purchase. It's super easy to use and it works with all of my memory cards. The transfer speeds are fast and reliable.

slowlywww. Not USB 2.0 on Mac or Linux. I'm not sure about Windows.

There are much faster and cheaper devices. I only bought this as a last resort when I was out of town and forgot my other reader at home. Not very happy with it! I use this device occasionally for SD cards, but mostly I have CF cards and use a FireWire reader for them. It gets the job done for small quick JPG transfers, but this reader is sooo slow for video files. I'm currently using it on my Linux netbook and it transfers between 3 and 5 MB/s (megabytes). Still a bit above the speed of USBโ€ฆ

The other camera is a ten year old Olympus C3030 which has a Smart Media card with the images I want.

.I'm not very computer literate I have 2 digital cameras, no problem transferring pictures from the new camera to my i-mac. Smart Media Card with pictures I want to transfer to my I-Mac. This GE 98780 24-1 says it can use Smart Media. I couldn't and called support. After waiting half an hour a very nice person could not help me or find his documentation for this model. All in all not a very good experience so far. The good support guy didn't have the information on his computer to recommendโ€ฆ
