GE Outlet Protector Extension 45170 Review

The cable is too short and comes out the side of the plug so I'm unlucky here as I have to connect on the right but the short cable goes on the left side. I don't know why they don't let it come out of the center top/bottom or let the cork rotate. Or at least make a flexible cord out of it? Don't buy this. Keep searching.

This did exactly what I needed. The flat head helped a lot and the extension works as advertised. My only complaints might be that the cable is very stiff to flex behind furniture and the knob is on the side instead of the top, requiring the extender to be installed side-up. Both are very minor issues, especially for price and performance.

Bought several of these but all had problems. You can use the plugin in one place, but you can't install other plugins if you already have one as that crowds out the rest. There is absolutely no point in buying a surge protector with 6 plugins if you can only use one of them. And half the time it wouldn't come on. Don't waste money.

I bought this particular surge protector because it was designed to be wall mounted. Attaching it to the base plate with two screws was not a problem. The screws are not included with the bar. One of the things I love most about this product, aside from being wall mountable, is the built in on-off-reset toggle switch, which allows me to turn off all electronics with a single switch. Appears to be well built.

Moved it to the bed and only used it as an extension for my chargers to be useful as it can't turn devices on at the same time.

Ribbon well designed and assembled. The spade connector was perfect for my need for a UPS outlet to keep the cord from pointing up. The two foot length was actually a bit too long because I needed the strip to be close to the UPS so I had to fold it in half. But for most customers, two feet is sufficient. So if you need a flat plug extension cable, you have to buy this device.

The flat plug of the mains filter is used to hold furniture. It is NOT FLAT. They can be the same as a regular plug. Also, the "flat" part doesn't rotate, so it's stuck in one direction. As if it couldn't be more annoying, the cable isn't flexible at all either. Not at all. So try to weave them all over and you will get a lot of frustration. This would only be useful for an exit alignment and even then they are so tight. Pay more for something better. This is absolute rubbish.
