Great tool for the money

Great tool for the money, sometimes the teeth won't catch when tightened and the screw on the pivot loosens regularly but it does the job.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Almost never

Awesome Spec Torque Wrench

Hard to find another torque wrench with this low FT LBS, I use it for engine drain plugs in the auto shop. A comparable key from a tool trolley would cost three times as much as this one and would be no different.

Accuracy matters - Hand Tools

I've used this a few times and have been pleased with the ease of use and appreciate the flexible head. My spark plug change required a flex head ratchet, so it made sense to have a flex head torque wrench to finish the job properly. I have read several independent reviews (not Revain customer reviews) of Gearwrench as a company and am confident in my purchase.

  • Trial for one year

Very important! for wrenches

Gearwrench is a pleasure as always. None of their tools have failed so far. I'm glad they updated the handle and locking collar. My old 1/2 drive torque wrench has a rubber handle and twist lock, and this one has a collar that you pull down to change the torque with the knurled metal knob. Used it to tighten a cap screw to 25 ft.lb and got a very good click when torque was achieved.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

What value! for torque wrenches

You can't beat the value of this torque wrench (and most Gearwrench products). Knob adjustment and a very nice "click". I have no doubts about its durability and accuracy. I'm a diesel mechanic and my co-workers often make fun of me for buying "discount tools" from brands like Gearwrench, Aircat and Sunex, but they don't really know what that is. absence. The quality of most tools from these brands is at the highest level. Maybe not *quite* the same quality as tool carts, but they rarely let me

Calibration certificate and good torque range.

The most important thing in a torque wrench is accuracy. This torque wrench comes with a calibration certificate and I trust the gear wrench. The next thing that matters to me is the torque range. I have a Honda Accord and the aluminum engine parts are attached to the underside, starting at 7 ft lbs. The spark plugs are reinforced to 13 ft-lbs. Torque for most engines, suspensions and brakes is less than 75 ft-lbs. In fact, this wrench (5-75 ft.lbs) covers 90 percent of small and light truck…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Everything in order
