The right tool for working on brakes.

This set is indispensable for brake work. I have a Ford Explorer and a Scion Tc and it works on my car's front and rear brakes. I can wholeheartedly recommend this set.

Pros
  • long-term coating
Cons
  • sealing coating

Good processing quality, comfortable brake kit.

This product appears to be very well made. It even matched my idiot mechanic skills. I relentlessly twisted the caliper presser and even put a socket on the end of it and turned it with a ratchet, only to find that the rear calipers on my Jetta were screwed in instead of being pressed in. It has withstood a lot of pressure, which indicates the build quality. I've only used it on disc brakes before but it put in all the hex heads I needed and the caliper tool worked great. I'll update the review

Pros

Cons
  • Not the best

The set is of high quality. Nice plastic body. The spring removal tools work perfectly and are well made. However, I didn't like the universal pad retention tool as the tool would dig into my arm on the other side and install the pad retention springs. It is necessary to press firmly on the new spring to compress it enough for the pin to snap and hold. I ordered a KD 285 tool from 16 to 7/8 to use on my Dodge Dakota R/T next time. The 285 has a handle that you can press on and use some force…
