I postponed reviewing until I saw how long they would stay in place. It's been 2 months now and no problems. Mine are installed in the shower on semi-porous ceramic tiles. It stayed where the suction cup hadn't worked before.

Despite following and applying the product information carefully, this tape accidentally came off last night for no good reason. I bought this about 4 months ago, the previous one lasted much longer, bought from the company that makes these 3M cat vacuums.

This disc adheres easily to semi-smooth shower tiles. Comes with simple instructions and says to wait 24 hours after application before installing anything on it. IMO not really necessary for a light weight item like a soap dish or hook. It is very important to clean the tile well before installing the disc.

When I bought them I would have given them 4 stars but they lasted less than 3 months. Thing is, the stand they held was medium sized, light weight, and had a small bottle of shampoo, a small bottle of conditioner, a facial cleanser, and a sponge that I would hang out to dry. Probably 2 pounds total including stand. For the price I would have expected at least a longer lifespan. I also set it higher so it doesn't get wet and I shower with cold water so there's no steam. So disappointed.

I needed something to hold the soap dish in the shower. Everything else I tried didn't work and the soap box fell off. But these Gecko-Loc Clear Acrylic Adhesive Discs worked great. I followed the instructions to clean and dry the tile before applying the adhesive pads. I then mounted the soap dish on a suction cup and after many showers the soap dish didn't move. The panes are transparent, so we hardly see them behind the soap dish. I highly recommend this product.

These discs are ideal for attaching a variety of suction cup hooks and accessories that only retain their strength on glass smooth surfaces. We used a few in our bathroom with porous ceramic tile walls because we didn't want to drill holes everywhere we wanted the hooks. If you change your mind about placing a hook or accessory holder with these discs, they are removed with a hair dryer or heat gun and spatula, and the adhesive/adhesive remover will remove any remaining adhesive on the disc.
