The locking mechanism worked as expected, except the emergency lock cable was 18 inches shorter than stock. It's too short so manual release won't work.

30 years of Benz tech. It's cheaper than the factory model and it fits and works great. I've been using it for a while now since I bought it and I have to say I haven't had any problems.

If you're a bit of a DIYer this will be easy, the worst part was the panel clips, there are several installation videos, it took me about 45 minutes. Wear gloves to avoid cutting yourself on the plastic trim.

I had 10 ML 350, my mechanic fitted me the unit, it works, I don't know how long it lasts but for the money, for this price it's not a problem, the Benz dealer will charge you 10 times the cost, because I am satisfied with both the cost and the quality,

(2009 GL450) Lock fits and works perfectly. But the cable is too short and the ball at the end of the cable is too big to fit on the hand lever in the trunk. I never used the lever in the trunk so I just left the cable hanging.

Direct replacement for my Mercedes, works right out of the box. I saw that some people had to modify the emergency release cable, but I didn't and it was the same length and size. All in all, a good alternative to the $1100 the dealer wanted for just this part.

I called my mechanic and they offered me $680 for the OEM lock and installation. With the help of YouTube, I decided to do it myself. So glad I did! I paid $48 for the padlock, $15 for the plastic panel removal tools and it was done in less than an hour! The hardest part was getting the cover off. Once removed, it only took a few minutes to change the lock. The item was delivered in 2 days which I really appreciate as I couldn't lock the tailgate and the car was parked outside.

Bought for my 2008 ML550. It took a while, but was a pretty easy do-it-yourself install. It's been a few months since I installed it and I haven't had any problems with it. This is a great price compared to OEM prices! UPDATE: This is a cheap fake, the lock only lasted a few years. I bought it in November 2018 for $156. It stopped working about 4 months ago and I ignored it, but now I'm back for another one because I really miss rear access to my car. At least the price has dropped…
