It looks the same as Dyson but has production issues.

The OEM version of this Dyson roller costs almost $30 and the brushes don't really sweep or hit the carpet despite the powerful suction of Dyson vacuums. This brush was way better for the price and I was like what the heck why not? The reality is that it doesn't even come close to the same quality or performance in use. Yes, brush assemblies are tricky to install because you have to deal with a rubber drive belt that connects to the motor. It fits as expected but as soon as I turned on the…

Not identical to Dyson Part

I purchased this brush and installed it myself in less than five minutes. Look for videos on YouTube, but you don't need a "tool", a screwdriver worked for me. This brush rod improved the pickup on my DC 14 Low Reach as my original rod was 90% missing bristles after 8 years. I think it's because I have carpet, hardwood and tile. However, it still hasn't picked up any larger crumbs from my floor. I called Dyson support to find out if it's worth repairing or if I just need to buy a new vacuum…

Beware of dust particles!

I recently overhauled my girlfriend's 10 year old Dyson DC07 after the clutch broke and this brush was the last to be replaced. I calculated that her old brush has literally been slammed a million times through dirt, dog hair, flakes, broken glass, sand, Lego (those little transparent bits are hard to see!) and anything else you can think of.
