I had to routinely service my laptop coolers. I found this stuff and checked the reviews. My usual thermal paste is Arctic Silver. I have several tubes but I can't find them. I recently bought this thermal compound I had never heard of just to try. I figured it might not work that well because it was so cheap and I had never heard of it. Yesterday I used MX4 thermal paste on a Dell Inspiron 17 5755 processor and heatsink and the idle temps weren't great and were even worse under load. I used AIDA64 Extreme to stress the CPU and I got to 104C which is HOT! Now, this system will never see such a load on the CPU, since the user mostly surfs the Internet and Facebook…

You should at least use nitrile gloves. It may be worth using a 3m face mask filter rated for household gases if you intend to use this product indoors. It might seem overkill, but you'll eventually thank yourself for not getting cancer by touching this stuff. Otherwise, it works great for thermal paste. Just need a better warning sign, that's all.

Not a bad deal but not as big as I expected based on the picture which isn't a problem - it's a fairly dense material and will last a long time. a quarter of a coin high. Works great and I will definitely buy it again. Very similar in texture and handling to Arctic Silver.

I have an idea that it's just white ceramic paste tinted silver, but upon closer inspection it has a slight tint of dull sheen. Do not use.
