My Optiplex 790 Mini Tower died suddenly after losing power for about a week. It just wouldn't turn on and I couldn't turn the light green or amber so I figured it was the power supply. Took me about 5 minutes to uninstall the old one and maybe 3 minutes to install the new one. Now it shines like new again; Who knows, maybe I can live with this thing for another 10 years! However, the PSU was brand new in new packaging and is a genuine Dell OEM product. Highly recommended.

The device is not new but has been removed from the computer due to dirt/dust in the fan and on the connectors. The description doesn't say it's new, but it doesn't say it's been used either. It works out. The description of my order says the condition is new, which is not true.

The Dell Optiplex 790 series power supply is notorious for its early failure. It was easy to find an issue discussed online where my 790 wouldn't turn on and the power button was flashing amber. This is just the right, perfect power supply for the 790 in a mini-tower configuration. The replacement only took about 15 minutes and all the necessary power connections were supplied with the correct plugs. It was a very inexpensive way to get your computer up and running in 72 hours.
