Does your Honda Element hum when you start your car?

Fixes the hum problem and does not trigger the hum problem. DO NOT wait to fix this, if your E is buzzing one day it won't start. This part is a key component in starting the electric car. After the replacement, easy to do via YouTube, I can't make the car hum no matter how long I turn the ignition key after starting the engine. Have fun driving!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

Removes hum and vibration on startup

This is a Genuine Honda Genuine Part. It also got rid of the hesitation at start that other people mistaken for a bad battery or starter, and it also got rid of the ignition buzz at start. Installation took less than 20 minutes with a Phillips head screw. Screwdriver and plastic finishing tool. 3 Phillips screws on the bottom and 2 screws for the ignition lock. very easy to install

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Eliminates the whirring noise of your ignition.

Like many others, I have heard an annoying buzzing noise coming from the ignition when I turn the key in my Honda Element. At first the car didn't start, but after several attempts it did. The situation worsens over time. This is a solution. It's very simple, many YouTube videos explain the process. It takes about half an hour and requires minimal knowledge in the field of mechanics.

Pros
  • Great for me

  • Minor issues

Good original equipment Starter switch

Switch works well. The 2007 CRV and many other Hondas run full starter solenoid current plus transmission cut-off relay current through this switch. If you slowly rotate it back to its original position, the current will concentrate at the edge of the contact and eventually the contact will become perforated at the edge and the resistance will become too high for the switch to operate properly. I find that turning the switch fully clockwise during cranking better distributes the current in the…

Worked great in my Honda Element 05

My element had intermittent problems starting the car, turned the key all the way to engage the starter, there was some hesitation/"sticking" until the starter finally something reluctantly snapped into place. I've read that it could be the starter or the ignition switch. After comparing the price and installation difficulties of the two parts, I decided to start here. It fit perfectly, a few screws and about 10 minutes and the job was done. Best of all, the starter now engages quickly and…

Requires 90 degree Phillips screwdriver

Exactly as advertised Genuine Honda part, not an imitation of a generic part, I didn't want to use a generic part and regret it later when I can't start and I end up in my car tow away. Easy switch installation. No more buzzing noise from relays. Total installation time is less than 30 minutes. Update I installed this switch less than 2 years ago and now this switch is starting to fail (buzz) already 3 times. I may have a broken lemon switch, which is very unusual for a genuine Honda factory…

A simple solution to startup problems.

My 2003 Honda Accord sometimes wouldn't start/won't start when I turned the key. There would be an electrical hum or buzz, but the starter would not engage. After a few tries and fiddling with the steering wheel, the starter finally engaged and started the car. This part is the magnet that supplies power to the starter. If the solenoid breaks or is completely broken, there will be insufficient power to the starter. Installation of this part requires only a screwdriver and takes 30 minutes. I…

If I started with this I would save hundreds!

My Honda will not start. It clicks but doesn't start. I thought it was the battery so they fitted me a new $200 battery. Problem still exists. I thought it was the starter. I had Fresh Start installed and paid $800. Problem still exists. Eventually I thought maybe it was the steering wheel switch. After spending $1,000 I wanted to keep costs down so I found this product. Delivered in a few days. After watching a few YouTube videos I was ready. I pulled out two tools and began the replacement…
