The Real Deal: Radiator Cap

I had a crappy non-Toyota cap on my radiator. I didn't understand what I missed! Perfect fit, great seal. I will never buy a non-Toyota radiator cap for my pickup trucks ever again.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Speed

Not real unless Toyota is a Thai company

Umm yeah. Not original Toyota. There was a (Thai?) inscription on the sticker. 2 stars instead of 1 because it hasn't yet blown my radiator and left me stranded. But I haven't had that for a long time.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Functionality

Item differs from advertising

Item came in Toyota packaging but does not match the description. This is not the part of the market shown in the photo. So if you are looking for a factory look, you can contact the retailer directly.

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Best Suited For Radiator Cap

Radiator caps, like radiators, don't last forever (although they did). This is exactly the replacement I need for the heatsink in my 4runner. Note that in the 20+ years that I've owned it, I've changed the radiator in my 4Runner twice (parking by the sea can affect metal components). The previous cooler did not use the stock cap but the larger cap found on 1970's Eara GM coolers. Please make sure you know what you need before ordering.

Pros
  • Good Value
Cons
  • Poor
