Update Filters: Filter

So this filter was for my Lotus Evora. This is an upgraded filter at a fraction of the price. You can see the modernized design. Good business.

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Fragile items should be shipped in a box, not a bag.

I usually pre-order the best $55,000 oil filter for my Tacoma, but this time the oil filter had a different story. Must return. Was the oil filter damaged/deformed during transport or?

Great oil filter from TRD.

It may cost twice as much as a regular Toyota filter, but it's worth every penny. If you compare it with a normal Toyota filter, you will understand why it is better. If you change your oil every 10,000 miles on the recommended schedule and you don't mind spending a little more to protect your engine, get this. If you change your oil every 5,000, stick with regular Toyota filters.

A metal upper and lower housing is almost impossible to find in an equivalent Fram, Purolator or even Bosch filter. I've never seen any of these filters distort (suck in) or fall apart (like some fram filters do). The filter used in the image has driven 10,000 miles on Mobil 1 5W-30. I cut off about 1/4 of the filter to inspect and found no metal shavings and the overall condition of the filter…

Outstanding quality!

This filter is used on a 2012 Toyota Highlander 3.5 v6 and is immaculate in form and finish. This is the same or nearly identical filter as Amsoil and Royal Purple for this application. The whole thing costs about 15 € plus shipping. I bought a Purolator cartridge which is about 8mm smaller in OD and the Purolator is also about 10mm shorter in height. The Fram synthetic filter is well made with plastic end caps and solid wire based synthetic material. I wish the plastic drain tool that comes…
