Ideal for small rooms. I recently put our litter boxes in a closet as we couldn't stand the smell. I have an outlet in the closet as it is an old house. I have a cat door leading to my closet and this unit reduced the odor by 95%. The fan is a bit noisy, but you can't hear it at all when the door is closed.

I bought four of these. Three work perfectly, the fourth almost exploded due to a manufacturing defect. Nobody played with it, touched it or spilled anything on it, one day its UV lamp just burst. When I pulled it out of its nest and opened it to see what had happened, I saw that it was charred inside - it could have exploded! Just thank you for being home and not noticing right away. ATTENTION TO THE BUYER!

I bought two of these, one for the bathroom that doubles as the guest bathroom and the other for the laundry room where we keep the litter box. Both did a good job of freshening the air. The smell of the cat box has been greatly reduced. My cat wanted to remind everyone that this is not an excuse not to clean the sheets. Cons: Fan noise. It's even noticeable when walking past the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend it for a small office or light sleeper bedroom.

This thing is really good. My boyfriend and I live in a very old apartment that hasn't been renovated (almost time to move out - hooray!) and smells very musty if we don't leave the windows open. Any device that uses UVC produces some amount of ozone. Instead, PCO devices require water vapor to generate hydroxyls. If your humidity is around 60%, this will likely work well. When the humidity is low, you won't get the strong hydroxyl effect and fresh feeling, and you'll have annoying incomplete chemical by-products.
