Gibson Athletic Single Buckle Perfect Fit Uneven Bar Grips Review

My daughter was really looking forward to finally being able to do gymnastics. This is her first set and she was able to break it in quickly. She is nine years old and not very tall so a very small one is perfect for her.

These pens were supposed to last 2 years but my daughter only wore them 4 months. Only used it for 2 months. The leather has come loose where the straps attach. Very bad quality. Wouldn't recommend it.

The holes are incredibly small, even for tiny fingers! The manufacturer must work to ensure that the length/size of the grip matches the dimensions of the finger holes. We had to use closed scissors to stretch out the holes. Very labor intensive.

Bought two pairs for my daughter. One was a spare pair that she didn't try to use until four months after purchasing it. The skin around the finger hole was torn when the finger was first inserted. The same happened to a teammate who bought the same grips. Revain will not replace them as the return period has expired. I have emailed Gibson but they are not responding.

My title speaks for itself. The finger holes were incredibly small. Even if we enlarged the finger holes to the right size for my 13 year old daughter, there would be almost no leather material left around the edges and the grips would likely break the first time. Would love to come back but daughter has already tried to enlarge the holes as stated in the accompanying literature. Uh, waste of money.

My daughter is 10 years old, we measured her hand, it is one size smaller. We read a lot of reviews and know we ordered the right size. The main problem is that the finger holes are so tiny - we used a pencil with sandpaper and still can't fit her fingers! I don't know what to do! I don't know if we should proceed - I hope the supplier reads this and tells us what to do. I'm sure the grips will be fine once she stretches her fingers, but we're not getting that far! Help!
