Not as good as it used to be

I bought Ablave Window Film Single Sided Mirror Effect Film Privacy Static Non-Stick Decorative Heat Control (35.4in x 13.1ft Silver) Window Tint after using Gila Privacy Mirror DIY Residential Adhesive Had used Window Film Thermal Control Glare Control tinted 3ft x 15ft (36" x 180") for several years. We have two windows that I tint every spring and then untint every fall. I bought a new roll of Gila brand in April as I have done for a number of years in the past but for the first time I have…

An enrichment for apartment-style living!

This is one of the best things I've ever bought for my apartment! My situation: There is an apartment next to mine that shares our balcony while my own is on the top floor. Stairs to the balcony from the first floor. My neighbor often had guests and they looked in my window (and my apartment) every time they went up or down the stairs. I don't think they were trying to be rude but at the same time I didn't like it and didn't want to keep my blinds closed all the time. In one day I stuck this…

Love Love Love Good for window decals and films

Great product! We covered all the windows in the solarium with this material. So I knew exactly what it was about. Our entire solarium has glass windows so this was our top choice for privacy. My favorite bonus is being able to watch the kids play in the garden and they have no idea they are being watched. It is very bright during the day. If you look out of the windows from the outside, just look at yourself in the mirror. Viewed from the outside from the inside, it's just a light shade…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • There are downsides

The product is very difficult to work with, especially on large windows.

I will update this review as soon as I get my money back. I'm sure Gila Privacy Mirror Adhesive works for some people. But my experience gave minuses and only one plus. NOTE: I emailed them and they replied. I was offered a refund. However, the process is a bit complicated and involves providing receipts, codes and a 'guarantee sheet'. Why would they care if I bought both the kit and the tape from Revain? It's like the bad old days when you had to submit claims through the mail and wait for…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

  • Expandable

The installation was very difficult, but it was worth it.

A 26" x 26" window pane is currently being completed. Yes, it took us quite a while to figure out the process and install it, and yes, three of us failed miserably on the first two attempts, but the third part went pretty well. After watching a few Youtube installation videos and ignoring half of the installation tips, we found a way. Even after installing this last try, I didn't like the end result, but later, after about 6 hours, I went back to the glass and continued smoothing it, and yes…
