Bad for asthmatics and people with other breathing problems.

Sorry but from the moment my husband brought this home the smell immediately gave me asthma. They make me sneeze, I have trouble breathing, itchy eyes and a general bad "feeling sick". The bag works great, stretches, holds etc but the smell alone will put me off NEVER letting it cross my threshold again.

Pros
  • Leaves a fresh clean smell
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Not suitable for those sensitive to odors

I stopped buying Joyful bin liners because of Febriz. Yes, one of my kids loves the smell, but for the rest of us who are smell sensitive, it's almost unbearable. Even on a box not marked with fever, it still smells. My only thought was that they needed to do something to get rid of this product or make someone more money. Just like fluoride in toothpaste.

Pros
  • Strong three-ply drawstrings
Cons
  • Doubt

AGAINST ASTHMA: Household Items

I've always used GLAD products and figured a little smell in the trash can't be bad. 12 hours after opening the box IN my garage I got asthma symptoms. I knew Febreeze was strong because it irritated my sinuses right after opening the box, so I left the open box of sachets outside on the porch. Two days later I was standing near the box (still on the porch) and BAM - inhaler time. If you have very sensitive lungs, kitchen waste bags are not the best choice.

Pros
  • Neutralizes Strong Odors with Febreze Freshness
Cons
  • Something Else

Burning nose - horror! Asthma attack from use

My husband brought these home and I felt sick immediately after he threw one in the closet. I've used Febreze in the past and love the smell. However, the chemical residue/odor they give off is so terrible. I literally felt nauseous and found that after a few hours I couldn't breathe either. I felt like I needed an inhaler. I put the bag of bags in a plastic bag and tied it shut so it wouldn't run into the closet. Then I got the garbage bag from the kitchen. The terrible stench is still there…

Pros
  • Anti-odor technology built into the whole bag
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
