15-Cup Rectangle Handy Container by Glasslock Review

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this container. I really needed a larger glass container to hold the sliced melons and lettuce. I was excited to randomly find this one when ordering smaller containers. The handle was an added bonus to deal with the larger size and weight of the container. I am replacing ALL my old cookware and rubberware with this brand of glassware.

I was looking for something bigger that is airtight. That fits the bill. The jar is easy to clean, holds a lot of soup and I haven't had any problems with spills. I was hesitant to purchase this as other reviews mentioned the grip issue. With that in mind, I don't use handles or pick it up from the sides like I do with other glassware. The most important thing for me was the size and narrowness. Since it meets my usage needs, I rated it accordingly.

Love the durable glass, LOVE that it's REALLY REALLY waterproof. Cleaning the pad and the gap it sits in can be a pain, but I understand you can't get the waterproof feature without a pad, so that's one area. Having read reviews of handles breaking, I never use a handle to support the full weight of a container so I have never tried it and never plan to test it. I was delighted to find glass jars with handles. After returning from a trip I put both containers in the dishwasher on the top shelf. Honestly the size of the bin is great for nights out. I'm making a pot of soup and I love it! But the handle is very poorly made. On the second use I took the lid out of the cabinet and the plastic screws holding the handle were broken. So no pen. This is exactly what I was looking for size, shape and all. As far as I can tell, the food stored in it seems to stay fresher longer. I say this because I left some food in it that stayed in the fridge for a while longer than I thought it should be edible. When I opened the lid, the food inside didn't smell at all.
