I received a product that turned out to be open and not working. Greasy handprints on instructions and open packages with stripped wires

It's a very accurate measurement but the wires are a little short for my needs and the backlight doesn't work except for the arrow. It generally does the job, but I can't use the color change feature.

I like the touch so far and it hasn't "switched off" or given incorrect results. Exactly what my scan tools say about RPM. It is very smooth to drive a stepper motor. tach It's been on my 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis for about 8 months now. Very easy to connect. I had to use a speedo adapter to achieve this. This is a great product, ignore the bad reviews. People just don't know how to read instructions.

I paid full price for a new product but received a previously returned product that does not meet even my lowest expectations. The sensor was lying loose in the box and the protective part where it was provided was not used. The instructions were dirty and crumpled. The arrow is everywhere. The only time I get semi-accurate readings is at idle. I would send it back but the packaging was thrown away. Extremely unhappy

Very inaccurate, I can estimate RPM better than this thing. Tried several settings. This appears to be about double what it should be when set to 8 for an 8 cylinder engine. The arrow is not stable, it jumps. But it looks nice. Spend your money elsewhere. UPDATE: Spent another $15 on a recommended sensor signal filter. Some erratic movements have been calmed down, but the tachometer readings are still high. I bought an AutoMeter device connected to the same cables and it works great.

I installed it yesterday it was pretty easy except the wires weren't long enough so I had to use speaker wire to extend them. The tachometer works well and is fairly accurate, but it's so small it's hard to look at it and see what rpm you're getting. Another thing is that the red backlight stays on all the time, which is a bit concerning since it acts as a parasitic load on the battery. I was looking for a note that would fit into this relatively small space. Luckily I found this one. There are a few things I would like to change, but nothing major. I wish the wiring was a little thicker. They use thinner wiring than HVAC thermostat wiring. Probably 24 gauge if not thinner. - I was looking for a touch that wouldn't hit 10,000, maybe 6, 7, or 8,000. But sometimes beggars can't make up their minds.
