This card should only be considered if you have absolutely no other sound option. This is a downgrade of your onboard audio. Believe me. Installation is not smooth, speakers are swapped, sound is terrible, some audio formats only play as compression distortion, no instructions, no manufacturer, no model name or # on board and no online support. The manufacturer and distributor should be ashamed of this amazing paperweight.

I bought this card for a customer who just wanted sound. The onboard sound controller on the motherboard had failed and they didn't want a new system as the system they had worked great with for their needs was out of the question. They just wanted basic sound for things like YouTube videos, light music, and simple stuff. Drivers are installed in Windows 10 but they are useless. No matter what we tried, the card produced nothing but a stereo output on one of the ports. Port colors also do not conform to industry standards. Took it off and threw it in the trash. If you only need a single stereo output, I think it will work fine, but no more.

Update failed and stopped playing within 24 hours of installation. For those who want to comment and read the driver CD, there is a download link on the product page. for My Purposes do the main job of getting sound out of my computer. It doesn't sound fantastic with a $150 amp and $300 headphones, but it sounds good enough for regular computer use, and it at least confirmed my assumption that Windows, not my computer, was to blame.
