🏀 Travel Hoops Basketball Dice Set Review

Funny game for soccer fans. My son (10 years old) has played several times and enjoyed it. The instructions are a bit complicated, but I recommend giving the instructions a quick read and just giving it a go, see what it means, and move on. You will understand faster than trying to understand the instructions from start to finish. Customer service was great too, I requested a PDF of the scorecard and they sent it to me within 1-3 business days.

Mostly luck, but still lots of fun! I play with my 8 year old son. Both games were very close and exciting. Passes, big plays, sacks, long field goals. Completely unpredictable. The only thing is that if you're dealt a pocket and then roll a hand or settlement penalty on a yellow die, there's no direction. We just decided the hand is 5 yards and the compensation is the re-throw. Our last game was 30-28. He won with a last-second field goal!

I had a similar version of this game as a kid and this one isn't far off. A downside to this version, however, is that it doesn't break everything up into 5-yard increments like the old version did. You actually have to count from every yard line, and that's frustrating when you're trying to figure out what a 15-yard penalty from the 27-yard line means on the very small board you're given. If you love soccer and dice games, this is a good choice for you. It is not difficult for a person with basic knowledge of football to play. My only complaint is the notepad. The scorecard is a rectangular block placed in a tiny square box, so expect it to be permanently warped. In my opinion, there were better ways to complete the scorecard. Instead of a pad of paper, I think it would be better if the game had a collapsible soccer field that could be used with an erasable marker or even a few…
