Dangerous Items!: Gymnastics

Less than 3 months on moderate use (1-2 sessions per week) both rings broke under my weight, I weigh 160lbs, doing horizontal pull-ups resulting in elbow and ankle injuries leads and heads (I'm thinking of suit). Stay away from this inferior, very dangerous product.

One ring to rule them all

I opened the box and found a very nice wooden ring and strap. Just a ring and a strap. The description and reviews indicate that they come in a two piece set. I have sent a message to Gonex on their website but have not received a reply. A ring I received looks and feels great. I'll update this when they get back to me.

Excellent quality and good price

They are very strong and easy to adjust. The price is right and much cheaper than a popular alternative brand that spends heavily on advertising. I wanted to make them shorter and also didn't have a pole to put them on and hang them up. My solution was a pair of hammock hooks that screwed into the ceiling pole and 2 5/16" M8 triangular carabiners.

Great set of competition harnesses

I bought these primarily for harnesses to use with RogueFitness steel rings. They worked wonders in the first few weeks. The only other set I see at Revain might be the Double Circle sets, which I used to buy as well. IIRC, they cost about $20 more. Rogue straps are around $100 with shipping (straps only). They definitely offer the best bang for your buck here. One star is chipped off because the wooden rings it comes with had small splinters on the trim. Something that easily disappears with…

You work for me! good for other sports

Great rings for the gym, I've been using them for about 6 months now and they work well. I haven't had any problems yet and throw them in the sand every day. The carabiners have chipped paint but I also throw them over a metal bar every day so what do I expect. I also get gritty grit on the hinges and they still hold. I don't use grips, but I recommend you do if you don't mind dry/blistered hands from wood contact. The straps and rings hold up great and I weigh 200 pounds. I highly recommend…

Carabiner difficult to adjust

Straps were thick, rings fine but the carabiner design is grossly inefficient and must have added 15 minutes to my workout trying to install it. You can never hang them from a post over your hands (unless you have a ladder) as the carabiner has to be engaged and screwed in with a very small Allen key each time. If you want to adjust the height you have to repeat the process with BOTH straps and it's difficult to wrap the straps the same way to make them the same height. I'm giving them back in…

Excellent rings for gymnastics, I've been using them for about 6 months and they work well. I haven't had any problems yet and throw them in the sand every day.
