Efficient White Egg Slicer Tool for Skilled Cooks Review

It worked fine for 6 months and then the wires came loose and got stuck every time I used it. I had to pull out the egg and use a knife to remove the wires to open the slicer. A bit fragile I would say. My previous one took literally years. Not very well done I would say.

Remember I've only sliced three eggs so far. The only thing I focused on, however, is whether it cuts the egg all the way through, which is what a lot of the negative reviews have focused on. It's not a mug yet and I'll upload pictures to show it. And for less than $3 if I make it six months or a year I'll be happy

My husband uses this egg slicer to make egg salad all the time and it's awesome! Inexpensive to buy, compact to store and easy to clean, we cannot praise that enough. After a few months of use, it's still sharp and ready to go. No complaints, and a small kitchen tool comes highly recommended if you regularly cut eggs for salads, egg salad sandwiches, etc.

I think you pay for what you get. After the first use, two wires came out of the plastic part. I don't have particularly hard-boiled eggs here. A regular hard-boiled egg was enough to crack this slicer. Since these wires are no longer taut, the food slicer will no longer work properly. I would not recommend this product. Spend a little more and get one that you can use more than once.

I love this kitchen utensil. I've had one of these almost my entire life and my mother used it too. I use them mostly when making egg salad. First you lay an egg landscape, cut open, hold together, pick up, turn portrait and cut again and you have a nicely cut egg and no knife required! It also makes great individual slices for salads etc. I'll always keep one of these!

I am so disappointed! This slicer will not completely cut through a regular egg. I place the egg in the bowl and squeeze it from top to bottom, then turn it over to pour out the crushed egg, and there's always a small portion of the egg at the bottom of the bowl, still intact. I either have to discard the rest of the egg or scrape it off and press against the wire to complete the cutting process. This egg slicer doesn't make me happy. I'm considering sending it back but for the money I spent it

I bought this to replace one we had for four years that ended up breaking. This one is smaller than our old one. We use it for slicing mushrooms and this slicer is not suitable for some large mushrooms. It looks like it would be perfect for the egg. So why only 2 stars? It doesn't quite cut! In the "fully closed" position, the wires barely pass between the plastic guides. Also, the wires are weaker than our old one, resulting in the mushrooms being crushed before being cut.
