I have classic length (to the hips) and very thick hair. I LOVE these clips for twisting my hair into a bun without pulling my hair out. I use them to sleep so my hair is tied on top of my head and doesn't get tangled. Update 4/23/16: I've only had these hair clips for 6 months, I hardly ever use them and the part (rubber material) that holds the clip is already separated from the main body (hard plastic ) hairpins separately. This has happened to more than one hair clip. Due to this problem, the hair clips are weaker than usual and cannot be used for a long time. I uploaded an image showing the problem.
