I bought this tape to put up a diy project on my wall and after 5 mins it fell down a almost broke my wall art. Can leave a residue when removed. Waste of money

This is an awesome product. My first experience with it. I bought this magnetic knife holder but it required drilling holes in the backsplash tiles. My husband was not comfortable with the idea. Luckily I saw this Gorilla mounting tape in my vine list and requested it right away. This did the job very well. You can see in the picture how well it is holding the heavy magnetic strip and the knives. It's been at least a month and still going strong.I'm one happy customer who would highly recommend

I got into Gorilla tape years ago when I think they only had the black available. Then they had the thinner transparent ones. Now, they have the same transparent one but it's twice as wide which is better for heavier jobs as it gives more adhesive surface. Some things will come loose even with Gorilla tape and I don't know that it actually lives up the the weight it says it will hold, but what I've discovered is that if this doesn't hold it then nothing short of a nail or screw will hold it…

Gorilla mounting tape feels like cheating. I am the worst picture hanger, and when I use nails it's not pretty. With this tape, I can hang small photos and electronics plus not tear up my walls. I even used it to relocate a set of LED lights that backlit my TV and the cable box. As long as the surface is flat and clean it will hang tight. I would rather use Gorilla mounting tape over nails and a hammer every time and highly recommend it.

With all the hype of products like this, we were eager to receive this. But we are very disappointed to find it did not work. Would not recommend it to anyone.

I tried to use a regular duct tape and a carpet tape to fix a torn beach tent. The tear is vertical. The material of the tent is plastic so it's hard for the tapes to stick. The duct tape and carpet tape only worked for a few hours. I ordered the Gorilla tape as a last resort before tossing out the beach tent. Very pleased to report that Gorilla tape is super sticky and works wonders. It has been almost a week and the Gorilla tape shows no sign of peeling like other tapes.

This tape advertises that it will hold up 24 pounds. Well, I'm not about to try that with anything breakable. But I need to attach posters and tea towels to my Zoom backdrop onto uneven surfaces, like old textured plaster and a vintage door with insets. Regular double-sided tape wasn't doing the trick, things just kept coming loose. This tape works great. I'll probably have to repair the plaster if I take the posters/towels down, but I figured I'd have to anyway.

I gave this double sided Gorilla tape a tough test. I mounted a solar light on my stucco wall with the Gorilla tape and it has survived a rainstorm or two and daytime heat and winds. That is what I have tested so far but I am quite impressed.

I love this type of tape and use it for numerous purposes around the house and in my car. This tape works very well on surfaces that aren't smooth—for example, the top of the dashboard in my Nissan Rogue, on which I used it to mount a holder for my Garmin GPS. I also used it to reinstall a soap/bottle holder in my shower. The fact that this tape sticks so well also makes it difficult to remove, however. Item arrived but not in original packaging. Looks like someone just rewrapped it plastic and taped it to hold together. I'm not sure if it is even the true amount (total length) advertised. I'm a long time ebay customer like many of you. We do not expect or deserve to receive what we order from ebay in this condition. I'm disappointed and regretful of this purchase. Not worth my time to return.

This Gorilla mounting tape is not worth purchasing.It is difficult to work with and will not adhere plastic to plastic. I was attempting to attach small lightweight plastic pots to lattice fencing. Did not work! Waste of money…….

I ordered this to use for the toilet paper holder we got that mounts to the wall. It held for less than 24 hours before falling unfortunately. But it did hold other things I have used it for since.
