I'd say if you only use it occasionally it's possible to replace the cleats after they fall out, but if you use it frequently you'll soon run out of cleats so I wouldn't recommend it for the heavy ones. / Regular use.

I took her on a trip to Utah because the trip was supposed to be ice and snow. As a result, they broke and didn't even stay on my boot. Update 5/12 I was using these micro spikes for hiking last weekend and one of the micro spikes broke. I've probably only used them 10 times since I bought them.
