🌿 Green Forest 100% Recycled Paper Towels: 10 Pack with 3X104 Count for Eco-Friendly Cleaning Review

It's important to buy products made from recycled paper. These aren't the best paper towels you can buy, but they do the job. I prefer the 7th generation.

These towels have insufficient perforation: every time you try to tear one off you end up with strips and pieces of towels still on the roll. There's a specific motion - the perfect "flick"/pull down - that results in a clean tear and a whole piece of towel, as intended. Serious?! Avoid.

I don't feel guilty about using these recycled paper towels like they aren't recycled. When a sponge doesn't seem handy, these paper towels will do the job. I could see someone getting tired of replacing rolls if they use a lot, but I use sponges for the countertop and just keep a huge amount of paper towels for "signing and storing" right under the paper towel holder, so it's pretty handy.

As with all these 'alternative' products I wish the perforations were better. I like being able to just rip off a whole sheet and for some reason that only happens with less eco-friendly products. They're also thinner and fall apart more easily, but I can deal with that. After all, that just means they're more biodegradable, right? And I LOVE the fact that "no trees were harmed in the making of these paper towels"!

I tried the seventh generation brown paper towels but they were far less than satisfactory. So I tried the ones that are made from 95% recycled paper. They might be a little less absorbent than Bounty paper towels, but they're one of the best choices you can make about living sustainably. The 7th generation white paper towels are not as good as these Green Forest towels and contain only 50% recycled paper. Is post-consumer content a direct measure of how 'green' a recycled product is?

I actually bought them because they're recycled at a reasonable price. They're not as fluffy and plump as some big name brands, but just as good as any discount brand. They absorb well and I don't feel too bad throwing them away afterwards. My only concern is that they don't tear very well. It looks like you mostly get one sheet and then half of the next as it tears along the paper, not the perforations. Other than that (I just rip a little slower now) they fit the bill.

I use Green Forest toilet paper and tissues and love them both. Seeing the other reviews on this product, I was hesitant to buy it but still agreed. I use a lot of paper towels. It's difficult to keep my tiny kitchen and even tinier bathroom clean without lots of paper towels. I make chaos easily and enjoy learning to cook. All in all, I feel really guilty for using a lot of paper towels. Using these towels will help offset this. They fit quite well in my child-free apartment and I think it's very good that they are chlorine-free and are papery after consumption. These paper towels are very hard and not absorbent at all. They fall apart before absorbing most of everything. They are flimsy and tear when you try to remove the sheet from the roll. Each piece will tear in non-perforated areas when trying to tear it off the roll. I wasn't able to cut a single complete fragment from the entire roll. They're just bad paper towels, too thin and don't absorb anything. It's like trying to wipe yourself with newspaper, except it tears and falls apart more easily…
