I was expecting them to be more like the filter I'm replacing, which says "HEPA Media Filter #86889, MC-V199H, #40324". exactly the same as the one i am replacing: 1. foam instead of rubber.2. The length is 1/8" shorter so it doesn't fit snugly (5-13/16" instead of 5-15/16"). Both of these differences can result in less efficient sealing and filtration. However, this is not the case. Kenmore branded parts are always very expensive. My Kenmore bagless vacuum requires a Hepa filter, which Revain sells for $35. With modifications you can use these very cheap ($8 for 3) filters. Remove the standard filter from the vacuum cleaner. It is a plastic filter frame into which the actual filter material is melted.
