Reduced temperature in south facing room

I bought this for a south facing bedroom that was CONSTANTLY 10-15 degrees hotter than the rest of the house day and night. It was easy to install and so convenient that it clung to the static as I could take it off and reposition it to get rid of air bubbles. I already have a scraper and razor so I used a soapy water mix instead of the set they sell. I IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference in room temperature and wish I had bought it sooner. The light blue hue is more noticeable when the sun is…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Big and bulky

We had a lot of windows, seven in the master bathroom and bedroom making those rooms the coldest in the house. Applying the film took about three hours. The difference was noticeable almost immediately. We are very satisfied with the result, much less heat loss despite the winter cold. The width of the roll made it possible to cut the sections quite feasibly even though the windows were three different sizes. Too bad the builder didn't use a standard size, but still the film worked. However, we

Doesn't really block UV rays

I bought this product specifically to block UV rays from entering my home. According to the product description, this film blocks 99% of UV rays. But in my experience, this film does not really protect against UV. When it arrived I decided to check it with my driver's license and a black light. Blacklight UV rays will reveal hidden images on a driver's license, but if you shine through a UV-blocking material, no images will appear because the light is blocked. Sunglass lenses, and of course…

Good soundproofing

We have a 1955 house with original double glazed windows (mostly). 2 windows in the living room and hallway must have their center panes broken as they have been replaced with plate glass, the largest of which is 50" x 72". In order to stop heat transfer into our house before I invest in replacing all the windows I decided to try this film. The largest flat glass was the most difficult to use. The rest went great and I was done in 2 days (although I would have been done in 1 if I had worked…

Ideal for apartment windows. Made a difference for my bedroom.

I live in a west-facing apartment, so in the summer it can be almost unbearable to be in my room where my desk is. I like the view but the heat will make it a little uncomfortable or just plain uncomfortable. At first I thought about tinting car windows, but didn't like the idea of removing the adhesive film on the 6ft windows afterwards. I found window tint for real windows, but still didn't like the idea of it being held in place with glue. Luckily I found it while browsing through a…
