Amazing Dog Bowl Addition!

My dog used to finish his meals in under 30 seconds and I was beginning to get worried it would affect his stomach. With this addition, it took him over 4 minutes to finish his meal and I could tell he was chewing each bite. This device is also perfect because it lets me keep his food bowl which matches his water bowl. Highly recommended for any fast eaters!

Fits our 32oz Yeti Boomer bowl well but we have to keep reattaching it.

We bought the larger one and it didn’t work as well for the size/type of bowl we use it in. This one works pretty well, but I wish the suction was stronger. Nearly every meal, our beagle is able to lift it up just enough for it to pivot and be off-center. Then, it doesn’t slow him down as much, kibble gets stuck underneath it and we have to wipe down the bowl before placing it back down again. But… our goal was to get something to slow him down just enough so he wouldn’t inhale his food and…

It works well - my new review

This gizmo works great to get our dog to slow down when eating. It’s not difficult to clean, so we are happy with it The unique design may cause confusion or hesitation for some dogs, who may not immediately recognize the bowl as a food receptacle.

Does not work for cats

Please be aware that this design does not work for cats. We tried it for our rescue kitten, and he could not get any food out of it. It is probably only for dogs who have longer tongues. The description should probably indicate that this item is only for dogs.

Game Changer! in my review

My German shepherd eats his food so fast, I’m afraid he’s gonna choke AGAIN (the hubby saved him once with the Heimlich). So, I bought this slow feeder insert for his bowl. It works! I am SO happy with this purchase. He likes to flip his bowls, so he eats from bowls in a stand/holder. I had seen the slow feeder bowls, but I had no idea they made inserts. Total game changer for my boy. I highly recommend this product.

Good but could be better

This product is actually very good and I would recommend it to anyone, however, my dog is a bozo and refuses to slow down to eat. So in a sense this product does not work that great for her but it definitely slows her down compared to if she had open access to the bowl. The suction on this is great but if your dog has small kibble it will get stuck underneath and it can be quite gross to clean. It is also quite flimsy when cleaning. Overall good product, just not ideal for my dog.
