Never used. The needle is very flexible. Almost too flexible. I found it split very easily at the top. However, the only one I've found works more than once to string freshwater pearls.

A pearl necklace was sewn from this silk as a present. But although I stretched the silk quite a bit before tying knots between each bead. Gaps between beads and knots are now clearly visible after wearing the necklace for a long time.

I bought this needle and bead cord set to thread different sizes of peacock potato and peacock rice beads. String of beads was the right color and I had no problem fitting the needle onto any of my beads, even the ones that had minor manufacturing flaws when drilled. The needle is also forgiving if, like me, you travel with your projects. I've bent and lacerated it a few times and it's still not hard enough to break.
