🌡️ GrillPro 11381 4-Piece Min Meat Thermometers: Accurate Grilling with Black Bezel Review

I was happy to find thermometers that my friend could use in the oven; Unfortunately, they have all stopped working and end up in the dustbin.

Extremely inaccurate. Sometimes nothing is registered at all. Sometimes he'll jump out of nowhere to 190 degrees and back within 10 seconds. Throw it in the trash and buy something valuable.

I wanted an easy to use meat thermometer and this needs to be learned. I think I figured it out, but it's hard to use with my chicken breasts (which is the main reason I got it), I won't buy it again as I really think it's meant for large cuts of meat.

I think I have a defective item. Either that or it's not the best model for backyard grilling (chicken breasts, burgers, salmon). It says not to put it in water to clean, so I wiped it down with a damp paper towel before use. The item never registered the temperature of any of our dishes.

I've only tried it on chicken and fish and it didn't budge once. I'm hoping a higher temperature like beef or pork will work. It was very cheap and I didn't contact the seller so it shouldn't backfire on the seller. Sometimes these things are broken.

What I like is the size, balance and silicone case. What I don't like is that it doesn't measure accurately. I thought I might be doing something wrong, but after watching a few video reviews I realized that maybe it wasn't calibrated properly. Others may be different, but the temperature reading is always lower than it should be.

As other reviewers have pointed out. There's not really a temperature listed, just a few ideas of whether it's done or not, so you have different values for beef and poultry. If they only provide the temperature, it could be used for any meat. Poor design and I should have known it wouldn't even be remotely useful without the temp. My suggestion is to get something even more functional.

I got this for my grill in April 2012 and I no longer use it. I had some initial issues with it because it just didn't seem right in terms of accuracy. A few months later I grabbed an electronic one and did a comparison, this thermometer just didn't measure the temperature very accurately so it now sits at the bottom of the box with other grilling items. I don't recommend it, I'm sure it can give you a very general idea of the temperature, but the accuracy is questionable. Spend a few dollars…
