Description of Grohe 22503LN0 Sense Guard Controller

Single-family residential home use only. Must be installed on potable cold water line only with a maximum 1” pipe size. 110 V US plug type A standard electrical outlet needed. Wireless LAN is needed to connect to the ONDUS app. Guard comes standard with 3/4” NPT male adapters. A 1” NPT male adapter mounting bracket is available but sold separately. Detects pipe breaks, micro leaks, frost and unusual water flow. Automatic, manual or remote shut off function to limit water damage. Use ONDUS App for both iOS and Android for customized settings and remote control. Status indication via LED light, buzzer and app. For horizontal or vertical installation right after the water meter. Please follow the installation instructions carefully.Extendable power cable 27 1/2 inches length.

Great way to avoid a major installation problem.

I purchased this after a burst pipe caused thousands of dollars in damage to our home. I looked for other ways I could be proactive to avoid another disaster like the one I just went through. This device from Grohe monitors and detects water pressure, water flow, leaks and freezing. All of these features are exactly what I want to keep in mind to prevent an impending disaster. Works on household sensors and alarms

We have a country house where a pipe froze last winter. Luckily a pipe broke near our house but it still caused quite a mess until one of my neighbors noticed and contacted us. I'm afraid if the frozen pipe was in the room it would work for a very long time and cause significant damage. To protect against such problems, we installed a Grohe water regulator this year.
