Handy Tool - Measuring and Marking Tools

This is a handy tool that is useful for working in tight spaces. Well made so should last a long time. The price matches the quality well.

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • Weight

Don't waste your money

This rating refers to the 9 inch version. It is not square with a length of 0.030 inches. weird bad. Too bad because I bought the 2" first and don't have this problem.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Not square at all, 3mm long

I am very disappointed with this square. For $60 I was expecting something rectangular, not something 3mm shorter. It's weird out of the square.

Pros
  • Easy to fit
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Good value general purpose square

This is a great size that will work with many types of woodworking machinery. As an all-purpose square, it offers excellent value for money. I haven't tested it for ultimate machine shop accuracy, but it's more than accurate enough for the purposes I've used it for.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Expensive

Uh, average: measuring and marking tools

When it comes to tools, the old adage you get what you pay for is definitely true, these tools are fine, they are covered in oil and arrived I had to spend a few minutes cleaning them which isn't a big deal but you can certainly tell when the manufacturer cares and when they don't

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Reliability

Serrated Blades on 2 "

13/16" for the skirts of my shop (one for wood and one for welding/metalworking). Both squares came with notches along the inside edge of the blades, just enough to allow several thousandths of an inch of daylight when I insert one square into the other. I MAY be able to place the squares under magnification and remove the nicks with a fine water stone, but 1) I don't have to, and 2) I'm not sure I should even try. Even with the barbs the little 2" bugs are GREAT for a quick check on…

Pros
  • INCLUDES: Set includes 2", 3" and 4" (48 micron squareness) and 6" (72 micron squareness) Blades
Cons
  • Requires Socket

PHOTOS VERY MEDIUM

Has not yet been used; However, they appear to be of the highest quality. My complaint relates to square packing. All of the Model #01110 photos, including the GROZ corporate photos, show a molded plastic snap-in case with molded cavities for each square. Mine arrived in a small box with very thin foam dividers. The squares have only been inscribed with the GROZ name and logo, not the detailed descriptive information shown in all photos (this of course in no way affects the use or accuracy of…

Pros
  • HIGH QUALITY: Made from selected steel with hardened blades permanently attached to shaft
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
